English Patch Project DIVA Extend compatible with emulators

Here we have brought a patch applicable to the original ISO of the "Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- Extend" so you can play it in any compatible emulator

The v2.0 Rev.3 is now available for download! 
( Fixed some (small) errors present in the v2.0 )

   This patch is based on the English translation for PSP (via divapatch) and on our Spanish patch

Thanks to Suyo from projectdiva.net for the Tutorial translated into English

Many thanks to the guys at CDRomance for their help in testing on the console.

Changes in the v2.0 Rev.3:
  • Fixed the "Conseguido" in some menus
  • Fixed Romaji lyric of Stargazer
  • Fixed some text in the Shop
  • Other minor fixes...

General changes in the v2.0:
  • Compatible with real consoles (PSP compatibility confirmed, PSVita compatibility still awaited)
  • The game has been translated almost 100%! (Song lyrics still remain in romaji)
  • DIVA edit fully in English
  • Added a new style in some texts and in the PV game start screens (Read more below)
  • Bonus and Opening videos subtitled in English (Optional download)

Translation Patch:




The patch with the videos is applied on the ISO that has already been patched with the translation, if you apply it before (to the ISO without patching) then you will not be able to apply the patch with the translation...

How to patch (Translation):
  1. Press the gear button and select "Backup original file"
  2. Select the ISO in [Original file]
  3. Select the patch in [XDelta Patch]
  4. Click in [Apply patch]
  5. Wait for the patching to finish and enjoy the game in English



How to patch (Videos):

  1. In the "ISO File" field select the ISO patched with the translation
  2. In the "Patch" field select the patch with the videos
  3. Click on [Apply] and wait for the patching to finish
  4. Open the game in the emulator or transfer the file to the console and play from there...

(There may be errors in the translation of the videos, if you find any please let me know)

How to patch on Android 

Go to Google Play and search for the UniPatcher application.


Procedure:

  1. In "Patch file" select the Xdelta patch with the translation
  2. In "ROM file" select the original ISO of the game
  3. In "Output file" select the name and the folder where you want to save the patched game
  4. Click on the "Floppy" button and wait for the patching to finish
  5. You can now open the game
To patch the videos is the same procedure but select the ISO already patched with the translation instead of the Original ISO

              Verify that the DeltaPatcher does not say "An error has occurred: xdelta3: target window checksum mismatch: XD3_INVALID_INPUT", if it does, then your ISO does not support the translation, in this case you must get the ISO of the game that matches the data mentioned above

              If it says "Patch Successfully Applied!" then remember that there will be 2 files left, the patched game and the copy of the original, the translated file is the one ending in "PATCHED", for example "Hatsune Miku Project Diva ExtendPATCHED.iso", the other is the original (untranslated)

              I'm sorry but we cannot provide links to ISOs on the blog, but you can search it on CDRomance.com, it is not difficult to find the original one as well as they give you the option to download it there already patched with this translation (but you will not be able to apply a translation update when it comes out)

              Hi Jaya

              We are working on the Spanish version since it is the one we use as the Base for the English version, therefore it will take a while to update the English version...

              Still I can tell you that what has the Spanish translation will have the English version too, this includes the translated DIVA Edit and other improvements that you may not have seen in other patches like this =D

              About the DLC's, I do not know, we have not thought about working with dlc's but who knows, maybe at any time we may do some too

              I am sorry if I have kept you waiting but you must understand that I use our Spanish version as a base to be able to enter the texts more easily but as this is also in development I have not been able to continue it since it is modified every several days therefore it would be somewhat difficult for me to synchronize both projects although I can also create a complementary update I do not do it since the changes would be minor...

              Please have a little patience, I will start updating the English version when the Spanish version only requires minor changes in order to try to create a better translation

              Now, another problem I have is that I have a basic level of English therefore things like the lyrics of the songs possibly remain in Romaji in addition to a basic translation in the subtitles of the Bonus videos but I will do my best :)

              Hi, yep, it'll be ready for the first quarter of next year, I'm sorry I didn't finish it earlier but I used the Spanish patch as a base and until it was completed I couldn't continue the English patch

              For now I have been a bit limited but I already have most of the DIVA Edit translated, it is a bit complicated since I have to reorder texts besides there is not much space for long texts therefore I have to abbreviate them...

              The truth is that the next version will be ready for the first quarter of 2021

              The existing translations were mostly console focused, there weren't many translations you could use in the emulator and the ones that did exist were incomplete

              This translation is intended to be used in emulators but it can also work on the PSP and the PSVita and its compatibility on the console depends on the firmware that it has

              In other words, "For emulators" is just indicating that it also works there, but that it can also work on consoles

            I've got error
            "the game could not be started 80010002"
            with new 2.0 patch on real hardware (PSPGo, PRO CFW 6.60).

            Other guys on cdromance tell me the same.

            Great patch, I've been waiting for this.
            But in the main menu is still conseguido in Spanish,
            and the first song has a line in Japanese (not romanji)

              This patch only translates the game, it does not modify anything else, the saved games and the DLC's will continue to work normally, ah, and the language of the DLC's will depend on the DLC itself

              Hola! oye, si hablas español te recomendaría usar el parche español, lo encuentras en esta misma página :P

              Ah, y ese error te da porque tu ISO probablemente ha sido modificada previamente, debes instalar el parche en una ISO sin modificaciones o no te va a funcionar, y no vayas a instalar el parche de vídeos primero ya que eso te puede causar el mismo problema de XD3 INVALID INPUT cuando intentes instalar el parche con la traducción, el parche con los vídeos se aplica después de haber aplicado el parche con la traducción...

              Intenta bajar la ISO de cdromance.com, allí la puedes bajar ya parcheada al inglés con esta traducción además puedes bajar la original sin parchear también (la original es la que dice "JPN_PSP-BAHAMUT" y la parcheada al inglés es la que tiene "(English v2.0)" en el nombre...)

            Is there any way to use this with a real UMD copy of the game? I actually do own the actual games and it doesn't feel right to just dump the ISO files and not use the actual UMD when playing. Sorry I'm being annoying or anything, I just thought I should ask.

              Hello!

              If you want to play using the UMD, better use the old translation, that is loaded by a plugin called divapatch which replaces the texts and images while the game is running.

              This patch was created for those people who no longer have the console in good condition and are forced to use an Emulator or play on the console using ISO files...

              There is no possibility to use this translation with the UMD of the game and we are not thinking about doing it, it is only available to use it in the ISO... The only way you have is to use the ISO of the game...

              Maybe you have not downloaded the file correctly, you can try to download the Clean ISO and try to patch from the mobile using the UniPatcher or from the PC using the patchers that I left above ...

              Soon I will publish the method to apply the patch on Android in English in the English posts but if you don't want to get too complicated you can download the already patched ISO from cdromance.com, the patch they used there is the same one from this blog (the classic version, if you want the style of the images above you will have to patch the NewStyle version yourself...), the problem with downloading it already patched is that you will not be able to use it to apply the next patch updates

              Yes, I already have a corrected version but I am still looking for errors since it is a version with minor changes, anyway maybe I will upload it soon and wait for the users' error report while I keep looking for errors on my own as well as see if I can improve it a little...

              I'm sorry but although I don't know why the link is broken, that patch is outdated therefore it has errors

              I recommend you download the patched ISO from cdromance.com that is updated with a corrected version of this patch, also the iso weighs much less so you save megabytes on disk/memory

              I will correct the links anyway...

            I saw the link for the prepatched iso, but it doesn't say which version it is (Classic or NewStyle) only it's v2.0 Rev2 like the xdelta patches.
